114學年度英語創新敘事競賽簡章

English Innovative Storytelling Competition Regulations [Fall 2025]

 


1. 活動目的            Event Objective

 

1.1 本競賽旨在透過創新思考活動,引導大一學生結合校園與生活經驗,運用英文展現故事化的表達與創意思維。除了提升學生的英語基礎能力與溝通交流技巧,本競賽更強調「創新思維」與「英語敘事力」的養成。

This competition aims to guide first-year students in using English to present their storytelling and creative thinking skills. They will accomplish these items through innovative thinking activities that combine their campus and life experiences. In addition to improving students’ foundational English and communication skills, this competition also emphasizes the development of “innovative thinking” and “English storytelling abilities.”

 

1.2. 具體而言,學生需在影片中:

Students are required to:

 

1.2.1. 運用創意思考,以新穎或多角度方式切入主題(如模擬未來校園、醫學人文故事化呈現)。

Apply creative thinking to approach the topic from a novel or multi-angled perspective (e.g., simulating a future campus, presenting a medical humanities story in a narrative format).

 

1.2.2. 以英語進行完整且具感染力的敘事,展現故事結構、角色塑造與觀點表達。

Perform a complete and engaging narrative in English, demonstrating strong story structure, character development, and clear expression of viewpoint.

 

1.2.3. 結合校園特色、人文精神或社會關懷,彰顯中國醫藥大學的獨特價值。

Integrate campus characteristics, humanistic spirit, or social care to highlight the unique value of China Medical University.

 

1.3. 舉例而言,在創新思維方面:學生可以透過「假設情境」來思考,例如如果中國醫藥大學要成立「未來智慧醫療社區」,學生用英文提出創意構想,展現想像力與問題解決能力。

In terms of innovative thinking, students can use “hypothetical scenarios.” For example, if China Medical University were to establish a “Future Smart Medical Community,” students could present creative ideas in English, demonstrating their imagination and problem-solving skills.

 

1.4. 在英語敘事力方面。

The storytelling aspect in English.

 

1.5. 學生可以把「進入大學第一天的心情」編成一個小故事,用英文描述從陌生到適應的過程,故事結構完整又能打動觀眾。

Students can turn their feelings on the first day of college into a short story. Using English, they can describe the process of moving from feeling lost to becoming comfortable, crafting a story with a complete structure that resonates with the audience.

 

 


2. 影片內容            Video Content

 

2.1. 主題須與本校或大學生生活相關(如:校園活動、社團經驗、醫學人文關懷、社區服務等)。

Please choose a topic that is related to our school or university student life (e.g., campus activities, club experiences, humanistic care in medicine, community service, etc.).

 

2.2. 重點須展現創新思考(例如:對問題提出新觀點、運用創意方式敘事)以及英語敘事力(故事結構完整、表達具感染力)。

Your focus should be on demonstrating innovative thinking (for example, presenting a new perspective on a problem or using creative methods of narration) and English storytelling ability (a complete story structure and expressive, engaging delivery).

 

2.3. 影片片名自訂,形式不拘(可旁白、角色扮演、訪談、微紀錄片等)。

Please give your video a name. The format is not restricted (it can be a voice-over, role-playing, an interview, a micro-documentary, etc.).

 

2.3.1. 範例1:校園活動 + 創新表現:拍攝一支「校園生活的一天」,但不只是流水帳,而是用「第一人稱角色視角」呈現,讓觀眾跟著鏡頭體驗,並加入創新的敘事手法(如內心獨白或模擬對話)。

Example 1:  Campus Event + Innovative Presentation: Record a “Day in the Life on Campus,” but not as a simple log. Instead, use a “first-person character perspective” to present it, allowing the audience to experience it through the camera’s lens, and incorporate innovative narrative techniques (such as internal monologue or simulated dialogue).

 

2.3.2. 範例2:醫學人文關懷 + 敘事力:用英文模擬一次「到醫院志工服務的經驗」,把病人互動、同理心的小故事說清楚,並帶出學生對「醫學與人文」的反思。

Example 2: Medicine and Humanistic Care + Narrative Skills: Translate into English: “Simulate a volunteer experience at a hospital in English. Clearly tell a short story about an interaction with a patient, demonstrating empathy, and then reflect on the relationship between medicine and humanity.”

 

2.3.3. 範例3:社團或服務學習 + 創意呈現:如果是介紹社團,可以不用制式報導,而是設計成「微電影」或「訪談秀」形式,透過角色扮演或創意對話,把社團精神生動展現出來。

Example 3: Clubs or Service-Learning + Creative Showcase: Forget the typical, rigid report. Why not introduce your club with a ‘short video’ or an ‘interview-style show’? Using role-playing or creative conversations, you can vividly demonstrate the club’s unique spirit.”

 

 


3. 比賽方式            Competition Format

 

3.1. 參加對象為中國醫藥大學全體修習本學期「英文(A)」及「英文(B)」課程之大一學生,或免修生可自由組隊參加。每組人數為2至5人,僅能與同課程班級同學組隊,每人僅限參加一次,每組繳交一份作品。

The competition is required for all first-year students at China Medical University who are taking English (A) or English (B) this semester, or students who have been exempted from the courses may form their own teams to complete. Each team should consist of 2 to 5 members. Teams must be composed of students from the same course and class. Each person may only participate once, and each team should submit only one entry.

 

3.2. 影片主題須同時展現「創新思維」與「英語敘事力」,內容方向如下:

The video must showcase both “Innovative Thinking” and “English Storytelling.” The content direction is as follows:

 

3.2.1. 校園生活、社團經驗、各類活動,以創意方式呈現。

Showcasing campus life, club involvement, and activities in a creative way.

 

3.2.2. 醫學人文關懷、社區服務,以故事化形式表達觀點。

Medical humanities and community service: A story-based approach to expressing viewpoints.

 

3.2.3. 想像未來校園或專業場域,提出具啟發性的創新構想。

Imagine a future campus or professional setting and propose an inspiring and innovative idea.

 

3.3. 本作業占學期分數比重10%

This event will count 10% toward the final grade.

 

3.4. 小組人數最少2人,最多5人,由每班授課教師依照以下比例原則分配之組數推薦參賽。(不須自行報名)

Groups must have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 students. The number of groups recommended for participation will be determined by the instructor of each class, based on the following proportional guidelines. (Self-registration is not required.)

 

3.5. 每班推薦組數比例原則:

Recommended Number of Groups per Class (Proportional Principle)

(1) 60-70 人,推薦 5 組              60-70 people, recommend 5 groups

(2) 40-59 人,推薦 4 組              40-59 people, recommend 4 groups

(3) 20-39 人,推薦 3 組              20-39 people, recommend 3 groups

(4) 20 人以下,推薦 2 組   Under 20 people, recommend 2 groups

 

3.6. 影片規格:    Video Specifications:

 

3.6.1. 全英文表達並加英文字幕。

Videos must be in English with English subtitles.

 

3.6.2. 長度限制為4至5分半鐘。

The video must be between 4 to 5.5 minutes.


3.6.3. 必須原創拍攝,禁止使用他人素材。

You must use your own original photos or footage. Do not use other people’s material.

 

(D) 解析度需720×480以上,格式為WMV、MP4或AVI。

The resolution needs to be 720×480 or higher, and the format should be WMV, MP4, or AVI.

 

 


4. 活動時間            Event Time

 

4.1 影片作品上傳日期:114年9月22日(週一)至10月31日(週五)17:00截止

Submission Period: September 22 (Monday) to October 31, 2025 (Friday) by 5:00 PM

 

4.2 得獎名單公告日期:114年11月28日(週五)

Winners Announced: Friday, November 28, 2025

 

 


5. 獎勵辦法            Awards Policy

 

第一名:3隊,每隊新台幣5,000元及獎狀。

First Place: 3 Teams.  Award: NT$5,000 (per Team) and Individual Certificates.

 

第二名:5隊,每隊新台幣4,000元及獎狀。

Second Place: 5 Teams. Award: NT$4,000 (per Team) and Individual Certificates.

 

第三名:5隊,每隊新台幣3,000元及獎狀。

Third Place: 5 Teams. Award: NT$3,000 (per Team) and Individual Certificates.

 

最佳創意獎:5隊,每隊新台幣2,000元及獎狀。

Best Creative Award: 5 Teams. Award: NT$2,000 (per Team) and Individual Certificates.

 

參賽同學可獲得 EMI 護照點數1點,得獎同學可獲得3點。

Participants will receive 1 EMI passport point. Award winners will receive 3 points.

 

得獎同學(或組別)只會獲獎一次,例如,得到第一、第二、第三名的同學(組別),不會再重複獲得最佳創意獎。

 

 


6. 評選流程            Evaluation Criteria

 

6.1. 由具英語教學、跨文化與創新教育背景的專業評審組成

Composed of professional reviewers with backgrounds in English language teaching, cross-cultural studies, and innovative education.

 

6.1.1. 第一階段由每班授課教師,依照推薦組數比例原則提供

The first stage is for the instructors of each class to provide recommendations according to the principle of recommended group ratios.

 

6.1.2. 第二階段由通識中心召集英語教師進行評分。

The second stage will involve the General Education Center convening English teachers for scoring.

 

 

6.2. 英語創新敘事評分標準

7. 注意事項            Additional Rules and Regulations

 

7.1. 參賽作品須為全新原創,嚴禁抄襲或仿冒。

The video must be new and original. Plagiarism or copying is strictly prohibited.

 

7.2. 嚴禁使用AI語音生成或配音,若經查證將取消資格。

The use of AI for voice generation or dubbing is strictly prohibited. If discovered, it will result in disqualification.

 

7.3. 內容須健康正向,不得涉及色情、暴力或違反社會風氣。

The content must be healthy and positive and must not involve pornography, violence, or anything that violates social norms.

 

7.4. 音樂與肖像須獲授權,違反者自行負責。

Music and portraits require authorization. Violators are responsible for their own actions.

 

7.5. 主辦單位得保留作品使用權,以非營利方式進行展示或推廣。

The organizer reserves the right to use the submitted works for non-profit display or promotion.

 

7.6. 所有作品不退件,請自行留存備份。

All works submitted will not be returned. Please retain your own copies.
